God is just a metaphor,
Like a beacon in the night.
The devil's in the darkness,
And we seek shelter in the light.
There are questions without answers;
No future without doubt.
Finding hope, love, and compassion:
That's what God is all about.

You don't need absolution,
If your heart's filled with regret.
There's still time to share your blessings;
Make time to pay your debts.
Don't be deceived by the facade;
Don't get hung up in the text.
Make the most of the life you're living;
Never mind the Next.

  It doesn't matter what you call it;
  It comes down to right and wrong.
  If you work for peace and understanding,
  The world will sing your song.
