He was tall, he was funny;
He was smart, he was cool.
He was humble and brave,
He was nobody's fool.
His life wasn't long,
but he lived it in full.
He was much loved, that is no bull.
 Quiet and strong, nobody richer;
 He was gonna be, a major league pitcher. His family will hurt,
but they can be proud;
Grant was a hero,
a man in a crowd.
  He'd start with his heater,
  Man, it was cooking.
  Then he'd throw you a curve,
  Catch you just looking.
He was loyal and kind,
already a winner.
He could have been,
a major league pitcher.

Grant has been gone for over five years, but he made a lasting impression on everyone. He was a fine young man.
